Seeking progressive communicators looking to make an impact on critical economic issues.

Omidyar Network (ON) is seeking individuals who are passionate about campaigns, communications, and policies aimed at building an inclusive economy. We are looking for people with 2 to 4 years of communications and campaign experience to join the inaugural class of Omidyar Network Communications Fellows.

We believe that to create an equitable economy, we must change the rules of the game, balance the scales of power, and look at the structural issues that led to an economy set up to value a wealthy few over the masses. If we want to succeed, we need to change how people think about the economy. The 2020 election gives us this opportunity.

To seize this chance to successfully move the needle on this critical issue, organizations and campaigns must have more communications support.

The Omidyar Network Communications Fellows Program is placing progressive-minded communications campaigners in 12- to 15-month positions with organizations and campaigns working on a referendum, ballot initiative, or other issue-based campaign related to creating an equitable economy.

As an ON Communications Fellow, you will start by participating in a virtual communications boot camp where you will sharpen your communications skills and become immersed in your specific campaign. You’ll then receive ongoing coaching, training, and support throughout the year as you continue to build your skills while putting them to work on the front lines of a campaign that will create lasting economic change.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have 2 to 4 years of experience in communications or on a political campaign;
  • Possess a working knowledge of progressive economic policies and politics in states where the selected campaigns are taking place; and
  • Are ready to start immediately and able to commit to an organization or campaign through the spring of 2021.

This is a salaried position ($60,000/year) that includes paid health care and other benefits.

The application process for the 2020 Fellowship Program has ended. Please check back for future updates.
